Terms of Use

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account, buying anything, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Who can use Sangatha

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Sangatha.
• If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they must make any purchases.
• Keep your account details accurate and your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. What Sangatha is, and is not

Sangatha offers Vedic astrological insight and general wellness practices for reflection. Chart positions come from standard sidereal calculation (Lahiri ayanamsa). The interpretation of your chart, and any reading, is a perspective to help you reflect, not a prediction or a promise of any outcome.

• Not professional advice. Sangatha is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. It complements, and never replaces, care from qualified professionals.
• Practices. Breathwork, meditation, and movement are optional. If a practice feels wrong for your body, stop and talk to your doctor.
• Timing. Without an accurate birth time, period dates, your ascendant, and your houses are approximate and can shift by months or more.
• In a crisis, do not rely on Sangatha. Contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.

4. Saathi, our AI companion

Saathi is an AI companion, not a human, an astrologer, or Sarad. Its replies are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong, so use your own judgment and do not rely on Saathi for important decisions. Live readings are done personally by Sarad. How we process your conversations is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Readings, reports, and programs

Live readings

Live one-on-one readings are booked and paid for through our booking page (Calendly, with payment by Stripe). You can reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before your session for a full refund or a new time. Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours ahead, or missed, are not refundable. If we need to cancel, we will offer a new time or a full refund.

Written chart reports

Reports are delivered by email as a PDF, usually within 3 to 4 days of purchase. They require an accurate birth time. You can cancel for a full refund until we start preparing your report. Because each report is prepared personally, delivered reports are not refundable, but if something is wrong in your report, tell us and we will correct it.

Svabhava program

Svabhava is by application, and we may accept or decline any application. It is a three-month commitment. If accepted, you can pay in full or in three monthly installments; choosing installments is still a commitment to the full three months. Program details, scheduling, and any cancellation terms are confirmed with you in writing before you pay.

Prices

Prices are shown before you buy and may change for future purchases. Taxes may apply.

6. App subscriptions

Some features of the Sangatha app require a paid subscription. Your first chart insight is free.

• Free trials. If you start a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Managing and cancelling. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, manage or cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. If you subscribed on our website, you can cancel in your account at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds. App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded under Apple's and Google's policies. For website subscriptions, we do not provide partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires it.

7. Community and your content

You own what you post. By sharing content in community features, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and share it within the Services so they can work as intended. You can delete your content at any time.

When using community features, please do not:

• Harass, threaten, or demean others, or post hateful content.
• Share sexual, violent, or illegal content.
• Post someone else's private information without consent.
• Impersonate others, spam, or advertise without permission.
• Offer medical, legal, or financial advice, or sell readings or remedies to other members.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Services: for example, do not try to access them by means other than the interfaces we provide, copy or scrape them, reverse engineer them, interfere with their operation or security, or use them for anything unlawful.

9. Our content

The Services, including our text, designs, practices, reports, and software, belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use them for your own reflection. Readings and reports are for your personal use and may not be resold or republished.

10. Third-party services

Some features rely on services such as Stripe, Calendly, Apple, and Google. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using Sangatha and delete your account at any time under Manage account in the app or on our website. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as disclaimers and limits of liability, continue after your account ends.

12. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any insight, practice, or reading will produce a particular result.

13. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please contact us at support@sangatha.io so we can try to resolve it informally. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer laws of the place where you live.

15. Additional terms for the App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded the Sangatha app from Apple's App Store:

• These Terms are between you and StretchYo LLC, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and intellectual property claims.
• You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

If you downloaded the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your purchase and download.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as Sangatha changes. We will update the date at the top, and if the changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the updated Terms.
